F2F Pumpkins

Okay so I drove around the neighborhood today, and got out on foot, too.  I was looking for all the pumpkins.  I found a few … take a look! (The special treat is at the end so make sure you look through them all)

I wonder if there will be anyone  sitting on those chairs come Halloween night?   In the dark or someone sitting very very still……………………..wooooooooooooo

came        a      spider……………

and oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Kate Banville is  by far the CUTEST little Pumpkin I found on a porch today!  Kate is 11 mos old and was out enjoying the afternoon with her mom Kate.

I hope to get a bunch of photos of our neighborhood Trick Or Treaters.  Don’t be afraid……..send me a snapshot or two.

Vacant Lots in the Riverfront Neighborhood Being Considered for Projects

October 29, 2010  •  Author:

Affordable housing?  Garden spaces?  The Missoula City Council is debating what to do with nine vacant parcels the city owns.  Five of these parcels are in the Riverfront Neighborhood. The Missoulian published an article yesterday:

http://missoulian.com/news/state-and-regional/article_70b0c5bc-e248-11df-a866-001cc4c03286.html

Any thoughts on this?  Let me know what you think. I’m interested in hearing discussion on this, especially if you live close to any of these parcels.  Happy Friday! liz

GOT Your Pumpkin Yet?

Where oh where can I get my PUMPKIN this year?

I need one or two for baking pies.

Then I also want two for each of my kids to carve out to sit on the  the front porch.  No, maybe four ’cause Mom and Dad can carve some, too.   We can each choose a face that suits us best.

Benson’s Farms still have lots of PUMPKINS for sale.

WHAT does YOUR PUMPKIN look like?

SCARY, Smiley, Toothless, or maybe something totally different like….???

Send me a photo.

Festival of Lights Right Around the Corner

October 27, 2010  •  Author:

Oh my gosh, I can’t believe we’re almost into November! The cool air reminds me and the occasional snow flakes definitely remind me. So caught off guard as I am, I’m starting to realize the holiday season is right around the corner.

I’ll be stomping around in the woods in a few short weeks looking for the perfect Christmas tree and leaving a few snow angels. I’m hoping we get some good snows. I hear they are predicting a good snow year. Yahoo!

An annual Missoula event I’m looking forward to is the Parade of Lights. I’m hoping to snag some friends and partake again this season. Here’s what the Downtown Ass’n. has for information on this event:

Saturday, December 4, 2010

Get in the Holiday spirit at the 8th Annual Parade of Lights brought to you by First Interstate Bank! This all-day family event includes numerous children’s activities and projects, the arrival of Santa Claus at the Florence Building, and concludes with the Parade of Lights and the lighting of the Downtown Christmas Tree at the Red XXXX’s on North Higgins Avenue.

Hope to see you out and downtown in my neighborhood this holiday season!!
