Missoula Sentinel High School Class of 1980 is looking for classmates to attend the 30-year class reunion July 16-17.
The Sentinel Class of 1980 will get together from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, July 16, at the Holiday Inn Missoula Downtown at the Park, located at 200 S. Pattee. The weekend’s activities continue from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday with a barbecue dinner at the Canyon Club, located inside Washington Grizzly Stadium at the University of Montana.
Cost to attend both evenings is $70, or $40 for one event.

If you have time to enjoy the outdoors this afternoon think of participating in the Lake Missoula Hike from 4–7 PM, meeting at the Pattee Canyon Gravel Pit at 4PM. From there, the plan is to climb Mount Sentinel to the Lake Missoula high water mark, where local experts with the Ice Age Floods Institute will fill you with knowledge about the Ice Age and surrounding rock formations. The Clark Fork Chapter of the Montana Native Plant Society will meet for an evening walk with Annie Garde up Pattee Canyon at 6:30 PM on Monday, May 24th. Meet at the Pattee Canyon trailhead parking lot at 6:30 PM, or carpool by meeting at 6:10 PM at the northwest corner of the UM’s Adams Center parking lot. Garde will point you in the direction of an abundant array of flowers like blue camas and arrowleaf balsamroot. Visit mtnativeplants.org. for additional information.
Four University of Montana students celebrate the end of finals week and beginning of summer with a game of ladder ball. These students love the neighborhood and their easy commute to campus. They can’t help but appreciate the open lot next to their home and plan to take every advantage of the outdoors this summer. A friendly game of ladder ball…..anyone?
With the sun trying to shine and the grass turning green it might be a good time to review the Draft Master Parks and Recreation Plan for the Greater Missoula area. Farviews Pattee Canyon Parks Study is considered in detail in Chapter 8.
